Summer Time, and the Living's Easy...

Could there be any better job than getting paid to do whatever you want during the summer?  It seriously makes up for all the stress of the school year.  We have been having a great, laid back summer so far.
Reading, reading, reading!

Pretty much swimming everyday!

Slurpees and Swinging

Dressing up
I love the last picture because it shows some more freedom in our house.  We put all the girl's cups, plates, and bowls in a bottom drawer in the kitchen.  So whenever I get the "mommy, I'm thirsty" comment, they can now help themselves.  With a footstool I brought home from my classroom, they can drink water all day long!  This also helps with setting the table, and emptying the dishwasher.  They can do all of their own dishes!
Stay tuned for our big summer adventure, our road trip out to AZ.  I'm sure I will have lots of pictures and stories to blog about!

Thanksgiving Break: Ice!

Thanksgiving Break week, we joined up with my cousin Kevin and his family to go see the Ice exhibit at the Gaylord.  It was pretty cool and cold.

A christmas tree of ice!

Hot cocoa afterwards.  Elia stole the show in the rest of the pics.

We went back to Kevin and Amanda's for dinner and a quick swim in the hot tub!

Taylor and Madison's House

My cousin Kevin, his wife and two little girls moved out here from Atlanta in January.  They moved to Trophy Club and bought a beautiful new house with a pool!  The girls get so excited when they know we are headed over there.  This was the first time we swam in the pool, and it was so fun!  We usually stay for dinner and hang out until bedtime when we go over there.  I foresee a lot of nights in Trophy Club this summer!
Do you see the gorgeous pool in the background?

Spring Break: St. Patrick's Day

Since we had so much fun last year, we did the parade again this year! My cousin Kevin and his family recently moved to the Dallas area so they met up with us. Only pictures can show how much fun they had!

Taylor, Madison, and the girls
Look at all those beads!
For some reason, Elia wasn't so into catching beads.  She was moreinterested in
running in circles around people and getting as much of this guy as possible!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
