Pool, Zoo and Baseball- ATL

Megan has a neighborhood pool just down the street, so we went quite a few times.  The pool has a lot of strict rules, the most important one that you cant be alone under the age of 18.  Almost every time we went, we had the whole pool to ourselves.  We usually packed lunch or even dinner and stayed quite a while.

This is where Elia got her nickname "Elia Franch"

One day we went to the Atlanta zoo!  This was the first day they wore their camp shirts.  Too cute!  It was a very hot day, so off to the pool once we got back.

Missing: Brendan was with mom and dad at the ATL aquarium

One night we went and saw the minor league team play.  Very kid friendly!

Elia's Birthday

Chris and I both took the day off, and Grandma and Grandpa, and Patrick were still in town. To celebrate her birthday we all went to the Rough Riders game.  It was pretty darn hot, but we had a great day together!
Not many people can say they have a twin AND a mini-me.

Really excited about a present!

Our tradition of birthday pancakes morphed into birthday frozen waffles!

Grandpa discovered a momma duck with 11 ducklings.

My beautiful 4 year old!

We probably played longer at the playground than we actually sat and watched the game!

While Chris is away, Grandma will stay!

Chris' dear grandfather is battling cancer, and so Chris went out to California to bring him some cheer.  Grandma came out to help while he was gone.  Chris was also able to go to a playoff Giant's game against my Cardinals, so he was super excited about that. I let Gianna take a personal day off from school and so Grandma and the girls did lots of fun things!  They walked to McDonalds and the park, did crafts, and baked cupcakes too.  Elia stayed home all three days so she got some much needed attention from her grandma.

As soon as we got home from the airport, they had to dress up for Grandma- she snapped this pic with her iPhone and it is darling!

Fun Weekend

Our house got a manicure- fianlly!  Looks fantastic.

An Aldi run.  Haven't been here since I went back to work!

Trying out their costumes.  Elia kept saying RRRRR matey!

We went to our fave mexican resaurant with John and Sam.  Its the one with the playground outside so you can eat in peace while the kids run themselves ragged.

A St. Louis- San Fransisco playoff series is proving to be very interesting.  If you look really closely to the right of the tv I put out the girls' little fred bird.  And I'm wearing as much red as possible!

Mother's Day Weekend

Our family had a pretty fun weekend!  It started off with Chris and I's first Ranger's game of the season.  Uncle Patrick babysat while we double dated with Sam and John.  Then everyone came back to our house to barbecue and play Settlers.

Mother's day was good too.  Chris let me sleep in and the girls helped him make breakfast for me.  After church we spent most of the day doing yardwork.  Just like last year, we are trying to do a lot to our yard for the girl's birthday party.  We are extending our patio with some flagstone and getting rid of some dead trees.

This is where the extended patio will be.

When Gianna saw them doing this, she said mom, look at all those brothers working together!

Ranger Game

We went to the last regular season Rangers game.  We tailgated first with Uncles Patrick and Matt, and Sarah.  Elia was so cute on the way there!

Houston Family Vacation: Giant's Baseball

Saturday night the Giant's lost to the Astros. It was sort of disappointing. This game (and Sunday's) I found myself paying way more attention than usual. I think it has something to do with the fact that the stadium is air conditioned. The Rangers seriously need to look into putting in a roof and some air conditioning.

Sunday's game was way better, and the Giants won! Yay for Chris. We got there early for this game in hopes of getting an autograph or 2. No such luck.

Elia slept on my lap for a good 2 hours and then she hopped off and G took a 15 minute snoozer on my lap. I either had the touch, or they were pretty tired from not really napping well in the car or sleeping well on the hotel bed!

We got home around 10pm last night, all exhausted. We had such a fun time!!!
