Tuesday, April 22 we finally put our house up for sale. Chris and I (but mostly Chris) had been working every weekend to make our house look good. There were a lot of bumps along the way. It felt like a comedy of errors was going to stop us from pulling the trigger! We kept saying if one more thing happens then we are not moving! Our hot water heater needed replacing. Our car needed repairs. Our car got broken into. A few weeks later our car got egged. Sewage backed up into our bath tubs and outside along the foundation of our house. The very morning we went live the ac leaked through our ceiling, creating a very noticeable spot in our newly painted ceiling. I left for work that morning with Chris diligently painting and blow drying the ceiling. However, by the end of that first day, we had 5 offers!! We accepted the best offer- $12,000 over our asking price! After all we had been through, this offer was a gift from the Man himself! That day we had also put an offer on a house in Arlington and they accepted. Now, a month later, we have officially closed on both houses.
