California: Easter

We flew to California Holy Saturday, so Easter was spent in Napa with the grandparents!  They dyed eggs the day before Easter and then the Easter Bunny hid them for the girls to find.

Loved!

In between the Easter Bunny and the family going to church, Jax got out and ate some of the eggs hidden in the yard. We had to "recycle" some eggs. Once someone found an egg and put it in the bowl, an uncle or aunt would take it out and re-hide it. No one seemed to notice! Easter was a total success.

Gianna stayed with Grandma the whole time, and I spent my time at Shannon's, loving on the new baby.  He sure is cute!

My mom had us all over to dinner so I got to see Colleen and Bobby, and Ryan too.  More pics to come- these are the ones on my camera and I am having trouble loading the ones form Shan's phone.

Slurpee Time

To celebrate our 80 degree weather, I took the girls to get slurpees.  I think all the sugar made them stay up later than usual.  Oh well, they seriously enjoyed it!

Love G's face!

Fun Weekend

Great way to start a weekend:

2 sweet, smiley, snuggly girls.

Sunday G had a birthday party to go to.  It was at a gymnastic's auditorium.  She did not stop moving the whole time we were there.  So much fun.
She was a pro at the balance beam!

Did you know they make silly bandz rings now?  Ridiculous!

All decked out with her party swag!
Only 2 weeks left until I am a stay at home mom!  So excited!

Batman Shirt

I went to a consignment sale last weekend and found this shirt for $4!

Doesn't Elia look so grown up?

When I texted Chris about it, he was super excited.  I think we may have to invest in matching shirts for G and Daddy!  (of course daddy would wear a boy color, says G)

100th Day of School

Gianna's preschool celebrated 100 days of school on Thursday.  Even though G has not been there 100 days, it sure feels like it!  She just LOVES her preschool.  So her assignment was to bring in 100 of something.  I wanted her to bring in something really cool, so we decided to count out 100 legos and then make the number 100 out of all of them.  Pretty clever, eh?

This is what I get when I ask her to smile: gums!

Spring Break: St. Patrick's Day

Since we had so much fun last year, we did the parade again this year! My cousin Kevin and his family recently moved to the Dallas area so they met up with us. Only pictures can show how much fun they had!

Taylor, Madison, and the girls
Look at all those beads!
For some reason, Elia wasn't so into catching beads.  She was moreinterested in
running in circles around people and getting as much of this guy as possible!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Spring Break: G's Doctor Appointment

On Tuesday we took Gianna to the "tummy" doctor.  After our pediatrician suggested we get her tested for Celiacs, I booked an appointment for when I knew Chris and I could have off.  After hearing eveything about G's history etc the doctor was pretty skeptical that she has it but he went ahead and sent us to get blood work done for her.  When I was holding her right before they were going to draw blood, I was trying to comfort her by telling her that when I was pregnant I always had to get blood drawn and I would just look away when they stuck me.  We still had to have another nurse come in and hold her still (even with my help) but all in all it was fine.  She got a milkshake afterwards and got to watch a movie instead of take a nap so I think she quite recovered from it all.

We cooked together a lot this week!

The next day we were on a walk and she tells me that she decided that she can't get married anymore.  (background story- she has been telling me for a few months now that she is going to grow up and get married and be a mommy just like me and that she is going to move to a house across the alley from us so that I can help her take care of her babies.  She has picked out the house and everything!  Love her.)
Anyway, when I asked her why she didn't want to get married anymore, she said that she doesn't want to get pregnant because then she will have to get her blood taken out of her all the time, so obviously she can't get married!  She also keeps asking when they are going to give her blood back.  Haha!
So we should know in the next week the results of the test.

Spring Break: Hanging with Friends

This was such a great spring break.  We met up with a lot of friends we haven't been able to see since I've been back to work.  I hosted my mom's group playgroup at the park on Wednesday and we also got to see Phia and M-M (and Baby X too!)
